Energy meters are used to accurately record electricity consumption in everything from production and process plants to building monitoring and utility infrastructure.<\/p>

Depending on the purpose, a distinction is made between MID-approved meters<\/strong>, required by statutory or commercial settlement (e.g. to customers or tenants), and non-MID-approved meters<\/strong>, typically used for internal energy monitoring, load analysis or process optimisation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Used when consumption is the basis for billing or contractual agreements - e.g. subletting, distribution metering or settlement between companies.
