ADSL/VDSL switches combine Ethernet switching with broadband communication over existing copper lines, typically telephone cables. They are used in industrial environments where fibre or new cabling is not practical or too costly. Technologies such as VDSL2 enable stable connections over hundreds of metres - and in some cases up to several kilometres - with transfer speeds up to around 100 Mbps.

ADSL/VDSL switches offer a practical solution for network expansion in existing facilities and enable secure communication with SCADA, PLCs and sensors via broadband - without the need for new physical infrastructure.

Areas of application

Remote installations

For example. Warehouses, parking areas, transformers or traffic points (ITS) without fibre where copper is already available.

Modernisation

Replacing serial communication or older modem connections with IP-based networking.

Robust connections

Industrially designed units for harsh conditions with temperature rating, vibration resistance and DIN rail mounting.
