This new V2406C series of embedded computers from Moxa is designed for use in trains, for communication inside the train and communication out to the internet. To meet the high demands of the railroad industry, e.g. vibrations and transients/noise, extensive knowledge of how a product should be designed and which components can be used is required.
And when you top that with a powerful Intel i7 CPU and promise the device can be used from -40 to +70°C, without an active cooler/fan, it says something about the quality.
This V2406C series of embedded computers is not only for use in trains, but also for more demanding installations where you don't want to compromise on quality and want a breakdown-free solution.
Many possibilities.
There are 4 models to choose from, with Intel CPUs Celeron, i3, i5 and i7. The i3 and i7 models can also be supplied with coating (CT) as standard, so the devices are not attacked by moisture or salty air.
The V2406C series supports Linux Debian 9 and Windows 10 Embedded IoT Ent 2019 LTSC 64 bit installed on an mSATA mini-PCIe SSD disk. Data is stored on the two 2.5” HDD or SSD disks, which are hot-swappable and can run RAID. Several options, e.g. as a video server or if you just want to keep your data extra secure.
Option for 2 mPCI cards for WiFi and LTE/4G/GPS card installation. If you want to use this embedded computer in vehicles that get around, the V2406C series has built-in slots for up to 4 SIM cards to ensure coverage.
