Introduction.

If you need a simple PoE injector powered by 24VDC, the tNS-200IN-24V from ICPDAS is the solution. Extended temperature and DIN-rail mounting at a price far below what you would expect for similar products. And if you have a 48VDC supply available, you can choose the tNS-200IN, which is even cheaper.

Industrial execution.

Although this PoE injector is small and inexpensive, it is still of the highest quality for industrial use. As standard, it handles an extended temperature range of -40 to +75°C, can be mounted directly on DIN rail and supports the PoE standard IEEE 802.3af (15W).

PoE saves the extra cabling for the power supply, so you only need one LAN cable to e.g. a PoE camera or an interface module. It is possible to run a LAN cable up to 100 meters from the PoE injector and out to the camera or whatever else you need to supply.

The device detects itself when a PoE device is connected, there is no need to configure anything. The only thing to connect is the external supply.

The cheapest model tNS-200IN requires 48VDC supply, but in most industrial installations/panels only 24VDC is available, therefore ICPDAS has developed and offers the model tNS-200IN-24V which is supplied from 24VDC supply and then steps up the supply to 48VDC on the PoE output, so it still complies with IEEE 802.3af (15W).

Easy installation.

Connect to the PoE injector 24VDC or 48VDC and LAN cable to the nearest switch and then the LAN cable to the device you want PoE powered. A long cable if the device is far away, a short cable if it is right next to it.

Why not a PoE switch?

Obviously, if you need to connect multiple PoE devices, a switch with 4 or more PoE outputs would be a sensible solution. But we see installations where you already have expensive switches installed and configured and don't want to replace them to support one or more PoE devices. It can also be an advantage to divide the PoE function so that if a port burns out, it's not the big expensive switch that needs to be replaced but only a single and cheap PoE module.

tNS-200IN and tNS-200IN-24V are easily mounted on a DIN rail, supply 48VDC or 24VDC on the orange terminal block. RJ45 connectors for the LAN cable with and without PoE on opposite sides.

On the front are two small LEDs. They indicate that the supply is ok and that PoE is active.
