Areas of application
Fibre media converters extend Ethernet beyond the limitations of copper (100 m), often up to several kilometres via single-mode fibre.
Fibre is immune to electrical noise, which is useful near motors, high current switchboards and welding equipment.
Used to integrate fibre into existing copper infrastructure without replacing the entire network.
Often designed with DIN-rail mounting, extended temperature ranges (typically -40 to +75°C) and redundant power.
