ATEX components

What are ATEX-approved components - and why are they essential in potentially explosive environments?

ATEX-approved products (also known as Ex-approved products) are essential in environments where there are Risk of explosion due to flammable gases, vapors, dust or other combustible materials. These zones are typically found in industries such as oil and gas, chemical production, food processing, pharmaceutical and agriculture, where safety must be top notch.

The ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) directives are EU-regulated requirements that ensure that electrical and mechanical equipment does not constitute a source of ignition in potentially explosive atmospheres.

ATEX-approved products are designed and tested to meet strict explosion protection standards, and proper use is not just a matter of compliance—it's a matter of operation and safety.

It is essential to have a complete overview of ATEX zones, classifications, and risks so that the right equipment is used in the right place. Incorrect installation or use of non-approved equipment in ATEX areas can lead to serious incidents, operational downtime, and have major consequences.

We offer a wide range of products approved for use in required ATEX environments. The range includes classic electrical components such as CEE plugs, junction boxes and connection equipment as well as solutions for industrial IT, including switches, routers and gateways.

Certified for installation in ATEX required areas, the products enable networking and data infrastructure without compromising on safety and compliance.

We've divided the components for the ATEX environment so you can easily find what you need. See selected products here

I work daily with specific ATEX requests from customers to ensure proper installation in zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. We help find the right electrical components of the highest quality and ensure that all necessary ATEX certifications and documentation are in place. It's all about delivering components that match both the classification and the overall ATEX solution - without compromise.
