Areas of application
Fiber media converters extend Ethernet beyond the limitation of copper (100 m), often up to several kilometers via single mode fiber.
Fiber is immune to electrical noise, which is useful near motors, high-current switchboards and welding equipment.
Used to integrate fiber into existing copper infrastructure without replacing the entire network.
Often designed with DIN rail mounting, extended temperature ranges (typically -40 to +75°C) and redundant power.
