Battery monitoring

Benefits of our battery monitoring relays

Battery monitoring

Battery monitoring - reliable detection of faults in battery systems

Avoid costly downtime, damaged batteries and failures in your DC system with efficient battery monitoring. Our range of battery relays are designed to monitor battery voltage, detect faulty batteries and send a battery alarm in case of failure - before the damage happens.

The relays ensure that batteries in e.g. UPS systems, stationary or mobile energy storage are not exposed to overcharging, deep discharge or abnormal DC ripple. This makes them ideal for both emergency power systems and demanding industrial installations.

Voltage monitoring

BMWB

Over- and undervoltage (window) - BMWB

Combined over- and undervoltage relay. Using a built-in switch mode supply, designed to monitor levels from 14-340 VDC. The individually adjustable hysteresis for over- and undervoltage means that the relay can be used both for switching equipment on and off with defined voltage values. BMWB can be used as a window discriminator with well-defined upper and lower limit values.

Advantages:

BMCD

Battery over and under voltage - BMCD

BMCD triggers alarms both in
in case of discharge and overcharging.

Advantages:

Battery symmetry

BMSA

Battery symmetry and voltage - BMSA

The relay can be used with the same or different batteries connected in series.
The individual cells in the batteries must be identical.

Advantages:

DC ripple

BRIA

DC RIPPLE - BRIA

The relay measures ripple in DC supply. It is ideal for monitoring the quality of the smoothed DC output voltage in AC/DC converters, from both single phase and three phase AC.
